Design Engineer

MCS Group is pleased to be working with a local NI success story, who Manufacture bespoke products and export globally, to recruit a Design Engineer to join their growing team.

As the Design Engineer you will:

• Become part of a growing Engineering/Design team
• Work closely with sales and production, you will assist in the feasibility and production requirements of both departments and provide timely and efficient information.
• Ensure drawings, specifications and technical requirements are prepared for Customers, Sales & Production as required and that they are fit for purpose and easily understood
• Certify specifications received from the sales department and make changes to trailer specifications in line with the current specification change system. In addition rejecting spec change requests if they do not line with the business objectives.
• Assist with costing of Products and development of New Products
• Assist in the implementation of new software including Nesting software and digitisation project.
• Contribute to improving production techniques, liaising with supervisors and employees on the functionality and improvements of the build process.
• Contribute to improving production techniques
• Liaise with and assist Production Managers to ensure Quality and On time Delivery of Product

You will have:

• 3rd level education in an Engineering discipline
• 3-4 years experience minimum in heavy engineering
• Experience in Solidworks
• Project Management experience
• Experience in 3D CAD (Desirable)
