Cyber Security Engineer

MCS Group is proud to be seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for one of NI's most successful manufacturing businesses, for a newly created, and critical role for them. In this role, you will provide expertise across software, hardware and their market-leading automotive products electronic systems. You will also ensure they are compliant with industry standards and regulations, and stay ahead of new and emerging threats which could impact them.

In it for you

• Define a newly created role within the company
• Salary dependant upon experience - circa - £50-£60k
• Work on-site, with some flex for hybrid working

The role

• Understand and mitigate cyber threats and vulnerabilities in state-of-the-art vehicles across software, hardware, and electronic systems.
• Ensure the company complies with vehicle manufacturing regulations, from the supply chain, and 3rd party vendors, right through to vehicle end-of-life decommissioning.
• Risk assess all systems and hardware, implement and advise best practices to mitigate the risks across the organisation.
• Report and measure the impact of security measures that you implement
• Maintain the company compliance with ISO 21434
• Support the business across cyber security audits

Needed to succeed

• Experience within an electronics, manufacturing, or engineering environment
• Audit compliance experience
• Experience working with the ISO 21434 framework would be a huge advantage to have
