Job Description
MCS is delighted to be recruiting for a highly successful Northern Ireland Commercial Insurance Broker, who are expanding their Commercial team by adding a Commercial Account Executive skilled in new business and business development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a time of exciting growth. Existing understanding of various insurance products is essential.
This is a brand new, full-time permanent opportunity which represents a pivotal new hire for the firm's Lisburn office.

This company has enjoyed decades of success within the Northern Ireland market providing commercial insurance alongside, car, home, travel and more. They are experiencing exciting business growth, and this role has been newly created to bolster their commercial team and help grow their presence across Co. Antrim, Co. Down and beyond.
What your day would look like
- New business development via collaboration with commercial teams and sales teams to pipeline new business leads
- Pursuing new business opportunities to establish rapport with potential clients - then provision of top-quality advice and service to new clients to assist with insurance needs
- Client management through managing renewals (with the commercial account handlers), facilitating footfall quotation requests, liaising with insurers for changes in policy cover and relationship building
- Sales and general administration by analysing all sales opportunities
- Sales administration (diaries, payments, post and queries) is handled professionally and in a timely manner
Your skills
- 2+ years' experience within a commercial role within insurance
- New business sales and business development skills and experience is essential
- Demonstrable sales and negotiation skills
- Demonstrable experience of achieving new business targets and renewal retention targets
- Accomplished in building and maintaining business relationships - clients, colleagues
- Knowledge of Acturis insurance software or similar is desirable but not essential
