Claims Handler (Commercial Insurance)

MCS is delighted to be recruiting for a highly renowned Insurance Broker, who are expanding their Commercial team by adding a Claims Handler (Commercial Insurance) skilled in the handling of claims and customer service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business at a time of exciting growth. Existing understanding of various insurance products is essential.

This is a brand new, full-time permanent job opportunity which can be worked from anywhere in Northern Ireland in what can be a largely remote role if desired. Working week of Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

What your day would look like

• Management of new and existing claims through excellent customer service and administration
• Taking first notification of accidents/losses from clients and arranging onward reporting to insurers, as well as managing the claim to settlement
• Fair treatment of customers at all times, ensuring every claim is dealt with accurately and efficiently
• Ensure clients are afforded empathy, next steps are provided, and they are informed what to expect
• Ensure all claims are processed accurately and effectively, and in accordance with business procedures
• Ensuring all correspondence is attached to the claim file to ensure a complete trail from beginning, progress, settlement
• Ad-hoc tasks and administration

Your skills

• Previous experience of Claims Handling within Commercial Insurance
• Demonstrable client / customer management skills in supporting sales teams
• Excellent diary and workload management skills
• CII qualification (or similar) is desirable but not essential
• Knowledge of Open GI (or similar) insurance software knowledge is desirable but not essential
