MCS Group is delighted to be working alongside a leading global law firm who are looking to add a Junior Associate or Legal Professional to their International Capital Markets team. The Role
Core Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with Partners and Associates from other offices.
• Engage consistently with colleagues to understand ongoing deals and cases, while managing expectations.
• Oversee progress reporting and collaborate with internal and external clients to address relevant concerns, resolving queries and issues as they arise.
• Supervise and allocate tasks to Legal Professionals, ensuring they possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and support to deliver high-quality, timely outputs.
• Provide guidance and training to Legal Professionals on commercial and legal details, including quality checking their work.
• Offer legal expertise through drafting, reviewing, and amending documentation, managing documents, conducting legal research, and improving templates and precedents.
• Lead, develop, and motivate Legal Professionals, fostering a culture of excellent service delivery and maintaining impeccable quality standards.

The successful candidate:

• A qualified solicitor or an experienced non-qualified legal professional in international capital markets (e.g., straight debt, derivatives, securitisation); strong Banking & Finance background will also be considered.
• Preferably experienced in a commercial setting such as a US, City, or major regional law firm; in-house experience with a bank or financial institution is also relevant.
• Proven ability to coordinate complex, multi-faceted matters, including those with multi-jurisdictional aspects.
• Experienced in managing teams and supervising junior members.
• Professional demeanor with high levels of integrity, resilience, and diplomacy.
• Commercially astute with a strong understanding of business needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
• Flexible, resourceful, and hands-on, comfortable in a rapidly evolving business environment, with an interest in shaping its development.
