Our internal team will be involved on the programme of work to allow business continuity as the new digital services become the new way of working.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the IT department for a Business Change Analyst. This role will be based in Head Office and will be a blend of office and home working.
You will work as part of the IT Project Management Office (PMO) team supporting the Project Managers and Test Lead.
The Business Change Analyst will be responsible for analysing current and proposed business changes, testing their proposed change and support the transition to business operations. The Business Change Analyst will assess the overall effectiveness of a business and its departments to create solution to problems.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
- Analyse current state and document user requirements within agreed SLA.
- Prepare and ensure approval of design documents such as 'to-be' process maps for change required within agreed SLA.
- Propose automation first and/or efficient solutions to business users and managers.
- Collaborate with Society Data Team to ensure MI requirements are gathered and met throughout the change lifecycle
- Manage various testing phases including the creation of test plans, scenarios, scripts, and evidence where applicable
- Coordinate with the development team and prepare test processes to validate various projects including automated validation scripts
- Analyse process and identify test defects and recommend appropriate solutions for various issues.
- Work with all stakeholders- internal and external - to resolve incidents and issues relating to a specified change
- Support the delivery of business projects to agreed standards and deadlines, ensuring key stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure lessons learned during change and project implementations are captured and reported where applicable.
- Support the transition to 'business as usual', ensuring documentation, training, support and benefits realisation processes are in place and change initiatives are widely supported.
These responsibilities are for guidance and will be subject to review in light of changing circumstances. Other duties of a similar nature and appropriate to the position may be assigned from time to time.
Essential Criteria:
- Commercial experience in business analysis and testing.
- Engagement with 3rd parties and other relevant organisations.
- Analytical and collaborative approach to problem solving and ability to write comprehensive requirements.
- Experience creating process maps for business end-users.
- Experience in User Acceptance Testing Previous experience creating user guides and manuals to assist internal training
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work across technical teams by understanding their outcomes.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple priorities and provide practical solutions to challenges.
Desirable Criteria:
- ISTQB Software Testing Foundation
- Experience using Microsoft Visio or alternative process mapping software
- Experience using JIRA as part of the Agile project lifecycle
