Branch Manager (Building Materials)

MCS Group is currently working exclusively alongside a global organisation supplying specialist roofing products to both the commercial and domestics markets to recruit a Branch Manager for their Newtownabbey based outlet.

In the role of Branch Manager you will act as key part of the management team, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues across many professional disciplines.

The successful candidate will present, promote and sell specialist products to existing and prospective customers within DIY, homeowners and contractors' professions and will be responsible for establishing, developing and maintaining positive customer relationships. Your role will be to manage all aspects of the local retail branch, mentor and grow your core team, recognising that a manager's success is only possible with a strong team.

You will work closely with the wider sales team to provide first class support and build strong, long-term relationships with existing customers as well as assist in the development of new customers.
Essential criteria:

• Natural leadership and people management skills
• Strong Commercial Acumen
• Strategic planning / management capability

• Knowledge of Roofing or building materials or an understanding of the construction industry
• Working knowledge of the Construction Supplies / Building Materials / Builders Merchants / Timber Supplies / Timber Merchants sector

• Warehouse/retail management, sales experience
• Confidence to deal with people at all levels
• Excellent attention to detail with a practical "Can do" attitude
• Valid driver's license
