Contract Data Engineer - Python

MCS Group has a short-term contract opportunity available for an experienced Data Engineer with extensive Python experience. This Data Engineer will help the client to implement a data ingestion pipeline in Azure. As Data Engineer, you will bring your hands-on expertise with Python, Azure Synapse and Azure Data Factory, and make an effective contribution to a high-profile client's project.

* Please note this role requires working on-site in Northern Ireland *

The Role
This Data Engineer will design a Data Model with Azure Synapse.
You will develop ETL Pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
You will work closely with the client and their in-house team.
This role can facilitate some work from home, but being available to visit the client in Belfast is essential.

The Person
Experience of developing applications with Python and SQL is essential.
You will also have commercial experience of Azure Data Factory.
This role also requires experience of server design, data modelling and architecture.
You will also have a core understanding of fundamental data structures, algorithm design & problem solving.
Given the short term nature of this role, being able to work effectively and to deadlines is essential.

Rate: Circa £400 per day
Duration: 7 weeks / 2 months
IR35: Small Business Exemption
Start Date: Early September
