MCS Group is looking for a Cloud Administrator (AWS) for a genuinely bleeding edge scale-up in Belfast. This is a unique opportunity for someone with solid AWS administration experience to take on a contract, which may have the potential for a conversion to a permanent position. As Cloud Administrator (AWS) you will gain exposure to a market disruptor within the energy sector.

Responsibilities:

As an AWS Cloud Administrator you will play a crucial role in maintaining the stability and security of the AWS environment. Your responsibilities will include:

• Implement and oversee security best practices for the AWS infrastructure to protect against potential threats and vulnerabilities.

• Monitor and optimise AWS billing to ensure cost-efficiency and manage expenses effectively.

• Efficiently manage the addition and removal of user profiles within the system, ensuring a seamless experience for all team members.

• Take charge of infrastructure storage management, optimising storage solutions to accommodate the growth of the staff and customer base.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following experience:

• 2+ years' commercial experience as a Cloud Administrator with a heavy focus on AWS, or in an Infrastructure Engineer role with a heavy AWS component.

• Strong knowledge of AWS security practices and billing management.

• Proficiency in managing user profiles within AWS environments.

• AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Rate: Depending upon experience

IR35: Small Business Exemption

Location: 2 - 3 days per week on site in Belfast

Duration: 6 months initially
