Assistant Accountant

A leading manufacturing company which operates on a global scale are seeking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role will be assisting the Finance Manager in producing accurate financial information as well as supporting the month-end and year-end processes.

Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepare key performance indicators to assist in managing the division.
• Support the preparation of monthly Management Accounts.
• Reconcile inter company transactions within the Group.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare information to assist in completing the financial year-end process for the division.
• Assist in the credit control process.
• Help prepare the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
• Prepare VAT and Intrastat returns.
• Provide ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as needed.

Assistant Accountant Requirements:

• 2+ years experience as an Assistant Accountant
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Part-qualified accountant.
• Attention to detail and a high level of analytic ability.
• Capable of using initiative and working to strict deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Assistant Accountant Benefits:

• £32,000 - £37,000 Base Salary.
