MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant for our client based in Monaghan on a full time, permanent basis.

Our client, is leading FMCG business near Monaghan who operate across Europe and the Americas. Here you be joining the team as Assistant Accountant and they are offering a Up to €40k, 32 days holidays, healthcare plan, Income protection and more.

The Role:

As Assistant Accountant, you will join a busy accounts function and play a prominent role in assisting the wider accounts team ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Duties include:

• Weekly and monthly Payroll journals
• Reconciliation of Payroll controls accounts
• Preparation and posting of monthly cost accruals
• VAT returns for UK & ROI (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly)
• VIES, Intrastat, ONS for UK & ROI
• Assisting audit process, supplying schedules and analysis

What you need to succeed:

• Minimum 2 years accounts experience in a similar role
• Accounts Technician qualified.
• Knowledge of ERP Systems.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Good Attention to detail
• Ability to manage their own time and prioritise appropriately.
• Good communication skills, ambitious and hard working.
