Product Applications Support Engineer - Leading Test & Measurement Products

Location: Linlithgow, W. Lothian

About: My client's focus is on continuing to develop cutting edge test/measurement products, to their global customer base with a specific emphasis on precise timing synchronisation and network emulation, their products establish benchmarks for assessing network equipment against the most current telecom standards in the industry. On top of this, they aim to provide first class technical advice to their customers both pre and post sales.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Expertise: Master one or more product lines, becoming an authority on their functionality and applications.

2. Customer Support: Provide prompt, expert responses to customer and sales team inquiries regarding our products and technologies.

3. Promotion and Collaboration: Collaborate with product design teams to investigate and resolve issues. Support trade fairs, plug-fests, and customer visits to showcase products and expertise.

4. Industry Expertise: Deepen your knowledge in various areas of expertise. Contribute to their development when needed.

5. Relationship Building: Forge strong relationships with the sales team and partners by delivering exceptional support.

6. Custom Solutions: Develop scripts to provide tailored solutions for key customers, enhancing their experience.

7. Technical Collateral: Create technical marketing materials such as Application Notes, White Papers, and Test Guides.

Required Expertise and Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a comparable field.
• A robust ability to swiftly grasp and apply product knowledge.
• Innate troubleshooting skills complemented by superb communication proficiency's.
• Familiarity with Networking, Ethernet packet structures, and/or Telecoms Framing structures.
