Job Description
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a Top 100 Company that is seeking to build out their on-site IT Team by adding a Second Line Support Engineer to the team.
This is a very hands-on role for someone eager to grow and develop their skills in new technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-site, specialised 2nd line technical support and desktop and audio-visual hardware management.
- Serve as a representative of the IT department, providing professional and efficient service to colleagues.
- Act as a primary contact for technical issues, ensuring timely incident resolution.
- Liaise with third-party vendors for technical support and asset management.
- Meet service level agreements (SLAs) effectively.
- Follow company processes, including change and problem management.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with updates and maintenance activities.
- Stay informed on current technology developments.
- Be available for unsocial hours when necessary.
Essential Skills
- Strong alignment with the company's core values and competencies.
- At least 3 years of experience delivering, maintaining, and supporting IT systems both remotely and on-site, including project delivery.
- Experience with Microsoft products: Windows 10 & 11, Office 365, SCCM, and Intune.
- Knowledge of network routing, switching, and patching.
- Experience with VOIP telephony configuration and support.
- Proactive in implementing and documenting improvements.
