HR Generalist - Food service company - Coleraine

MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering with a fantastic food service company based in Coleraine, who currently require a highly experienced HR Generalist on a permanent basis.

The role

Reporting to an experienced Head of HR, the successful HR generalist will be commercially minded, interacting on a regular basis with various key internal stakeholders, ensuring the HR service they provide genuinely adds value to the business.

You will be responsible for all 600 employees, communicating with staff at all levels, including senior management. As HR Generalist, you will provide consistent advice and guidance across a range of HR responsibilities, including performance management, absence management, representing the company during audits, employee relations, recruitment and disciplinaries.

As HR Generalist, you will focus on coaching line managers around ongoing absence management issues, highlighting long term and short-term absence trends, ensuring the management team find the right resolution and absence is reduced across the business area. You will also work to support the broader HR team on various projects that feed into longer term strategic goals, including change management processes.

The successful candidate

To apply for this HR Generalist opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:

  • 2+ years' experience working at HR Officer / HR Advisor level
  • Degree educated
  • Extensive employee relations experience, combined with strong NI legislation knowledge
  • Full UK driving license
  • Presentation skills
  • Fully competent using all Microsoft packages
  • Food service industry experience would be highly desirable
