Senior HR Advisor - Support Services Organisation - Greater Belfast Area

MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering with one of Northern Ireland's largest support services organisations, currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis

The Role

The successful candidate will be reporting to the HR Director and working within an experienced HR function to provide a comprehensive range of employee and industrial relations based advisory services.

You will support and advise managers on a range of employee relations issues, of employment law and effective employment practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional advice to managers on complex employee relations matters/investigations in line with the organisation's policies and procedures, employment legislation and best practice ensuring a high quality, efficient and cost-effective service.
  • Support managers and staff in relation to disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability, redeployment, redundancy, TUPE transfer etc. This will include analysing statistics, identifying trends, and making recommendations based on this.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice; provide advice and guidance to Organisation and managers, where necessary.
  • Ensure analysis of employee relations issues are recorded and reported to the HR dashboard monthly.
  • Provision of a cost-effective HR administration service, including the production and distribution of policies/procedures/manuals, ensuring appropriate manual and computerised records are available, responding to internal/external enquiries, etc.
  • Provide advice and guidance on individual employee relations cases, ensuring that these are well managed and in line with company policies, good practice, and employment legislation.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure effective, fair and consistent management of staff throughout the organisation ensuring that the employee handbook is up to date.
  • Liaise with management and incumbent contractors in relation to TUPE on collation and distribution of Employers Liability Information, envisaged measures and consultations with transferees.

The successful Candidate

  • 3 years + experience in an HR Advisory Role
  • Working towards or have Level 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent
  • HR Generalist experience within a multi-site organisation
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Employment Law in (NI and ROI)

While not essential, experience with TUPE is desirable.
