HR Officer - Large Voluntary Sector Client - Belfast

MCS Group is thrilled to be representing a large voluntary sector organisation based in Belfast, who wish to appoint a HR Officer on a permanent, full time basis. This is an amazing opportunity to join a highly experienced HR team, ultimately pushing your career to the next level.

The role

The HR Officer will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of all HR aspects for this function, including performance management, employee relations, recruitment and training, working in partnership with key internal stakeholders to ensure excellent service is provided to managers & employees at all times, in a consistent manner.

Recruitment will be a key focus on of the role, with the successful candidate focused on finding niche, qualified talent, in a highly competitive market. This will involve creating bespoke employer branding, promoting their EVP and attracting the best talent available. You will also deal with ongoing employee relations issues, including Disciplinary & Grievance; Flexible working applications; Statutory leave; Absence Management; Performance Management.

Suitable candidates will possess a relevant degree, ideally be CIPD qualified and have HR Assistant / HR Officer level experience, specifically with recruitment and employee relations experience, where they have worked with senior stakeholders:

  • CIPD qualification at Level 5
  • 2 + years' experience at HR Officer level
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Strong experience around complex employee relations
  • Recruitment experience, at all levels
  • Sound understanding of recent employment legislation
  • Well presented
