HR & Systems Specialist - Belfast - Leading Local Organisation

MCS Group is absolutely delighted to be representing an award-winning professional services organisation, who wish to appoint an HR & Systems Specialist on a permanent, full time basis. This is a pure generalist role, mainly focusing on recruitment and selection, however there will be a strong slant towards HR systems, analytics and process improvement.

The brand are well known, spread across multiple locations, boating impressive growth over the past number of years. They have invested heavily in their HR team in this time, adding a number of new teams members, as well as a new systems, therefore this is a really exciting time to join the organisation.

The Role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the successful candidate will perform a truly generalist role that supports both day to day operations and strategic growth plans, with a key focus on HR systems. The role will also focus on recruitment & selection, employee engagement and wellbeing, supporting the organisation line managers and employees through the provision of advice and guidance.

As part of a small team, you will provide guidance on HR related queries and practices across the organisation. The role will also involve developing new approaches and policies that support business change and taking the lead on key HR initiatives. You will take the lead on the implementation of a number of operational HR processes. The successful candidate will also be expected to take responsibility for reviewing and implementing process improvements within the HR team.

The role will involve various other generalist duties, including learning & development, recruitment & selection, administration, as well as facilitating employee inductions. HR reporting and Systems Maintenance will be a big part of the role, ensuring HR data is accurate and easily accessed, as well as producing monthly reports for the HR team and wider business, identifying meaningful trends.

Essential Criteria:

  • 2 years HR Generalist experience
  • Strong HR systems experience and a genuine passion for this
  • Experience of implementing process improvements is highly desirable
  • CIPD qualification
  • Minimum of Grade C in GCSE English Language and Maths
  • Experience using Office 365
  • NI legislation knowledge
