HR Business Partner - Global Manufacturing Organisation - Belfast

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a global manufacturing organisation, based in the Belfast area, who are currently seeking an experienced HR Business Partner on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a multi-site role, covering Belfast as well as two other locations, therefore there will be an element of travel requires, likely once every 6 weeks to the other sites.

The organisation

The organisation in question are a global manufacturer, that continue to show immense innovation, navigating through incredibly difficult times and adding to the overall workforce. There organisation is going through a period of transition, therefore it is important the successful candidate is a self-starter, that isn't afraid to roll their sleeves up when required.

There is already a strong, experienced HR team in place, therefore this is a great opportunity for a strong HR Generalist to move into a dynamic, innovative manufacturing organisation, one which offers so much exposure to the full HR remit.

The role

Reporting to an experienced HR Director, the successful HR Business Partner will be commercially minded, interacting on a regular basis with various key internal stakeholders, ensuring the HR service they provide genuinely adds value to the business.

You will be responsible for a specific business area, communicating with staff at all levels, including senior management. As HR Business Partner, you will provide consistent advice and guidance across a range of HR responsibilities, including performance management, absence management, representing the company during audits, employee relations, recruitment and disciplinaries.

The HR Business Partner will manage the full performance management cycle, including performance improvement plans, ensuring line managers have the correct training and capability to handle these processes effectively. Talent Management will also be a big part of the role, ensuring the business are consisting promoting their brand, attracting and retaining the best talent in the market.

The successful candidate

To apply for this HR Advisor opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:

  • 3+ years' experience working at Senior HR Officer / HR Advisor level or above
  • Degree educated with a CIPD qualification
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Extensive employee relations experience, combined with strong NI legislation knowledge
  • Talent Management experience, with a strong slant on recruitment and selection
  • HR systems experience


  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Union experience
