Learning & Development Specialist - Large Manufacturer - Tyrone

MCS Group is thrilled to be partnering with a multinational, award winning manufacturing organisation based in County Tyrone, who currently require a highly experienced Learning & Development Specialist on a permanent basis. This role will have an multi-site aspect to it, supporting a large workforce, therefore it is essential the successful candidate is open to travelling.

The role

Reporting to the HR Business Partner, the Learning & Development Specialist partner with key stakeholders across the organisation, focused on developing growth programmes for their employees to ensure top talent is identified and developed appropriately. The role will be heavily involved on the design and delivery of training for all staff, sourcing specialist external training when required.

On a day to day basis, the Learning & Development Specialist will be responsible for all training matters from business wide training needs analysis, creating bespoke training for all staff. These training programmes will be creative, tailored in line with organisational values and commercial direction, providing innovative solutions to ensure all new employees receive the high-quality induction and onboarding process.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and maintaining a skills matrix for each staff member, responsible for development of staff, ensuring they have tangible career goals to work towards, leading to a highly motivated and engaged workforce.

Employee engagement is high on the company agenda, with the Learning & Development Specialist supporting on various initiatives to enhance employment engagement, acting as a true ambassador for the company values.

The successful candidate

To apply for this outstanding Learning & Development Manager opportunity, it is essential you possess the following:

  • 3+ years' experience working at L&D Manager level
  • Relevant 3rd Level Qualification
  • A proven track record of delivering robust training systems
  • Experience of developing bespoke training, with the ability to identify knowledge gaps and develop training to address them
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ideally come from a manufacturing / food manufacturing environment, although this is not essential
  • A CIPD training qualification is also a desirable, as well as experience in internal auditing
