MCS Group has been chosen to partner with a well known Northern Irish organisation, as they look to introduce a new HR Advisor to their team on an initial 6-9 month contract, with the chance to extension.

You will be joining a top class organisation who have gone through a period of change over recent years. As the new HR Advisor, you will take ownership over the HR function for your business area, ensuring that there is a first class service provided to the business.

The successful candidate will be tasked with providing HR support to various stakeholders as well as assisting the HR Manager with other cross functional tasks, such as HR projects. Normal duties will include; assisting with absence management, employee engagement actions, personnel file auditing, interviewing, GDPR compliance, discipline and grievance and general administration.

Your new Job:

This role will act as a support to the HR Manager in the provision of an exceptional HR service to the organisation to add value and deliver best practice and meet our statutory compliance obligations. They will ensure the effective delivery of HR processing; and provide a joined up, engaging and customer focused service centre working to defined SLAs. They will strive for sustainable excellence, create a culture of continuous improvement and achieve outstanding performance.

Key accountabilities will include managing a team to deliver all people systems and services, managing key activities to meet multiple payroll deadlines, colleague reward, benefit and engagement administration and providing key metrics/reporting to support overall business performance.

What you'll need:


  • CIPD qualified
  • Two years' HR Generalist experience at HR Officer level or above
  • People management experience
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and fast-moving environment coupled with the ability to move effectively between strategy and implementation
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Good listening skills


  • A 3rd level qualification in related subject
