MCS Group is urgently seeking a Temporary Finance Officer (Management Accounts) on behalf of a public sector client based in Newry.
Immediate Need. Ongoing temporary assignment.
Salary - £25,991
The Finance Officer - Management Accounts will:
The post-holder will work under the direction and guidance of the Finance Manager to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective Finance service.
Ensuring that all month end accounting tasks are completed accurately and reflect the current financial position for budget
Production of monthly departmental budget
Assist with the production of monthly management accounts and other financial management information as
Provide support and assistance to budget managers and their deputies to help ensure effective management and monitoring of their delegated budgets, ensuring that any amendments to the budget or budget profile are reflected in the accounting
Assist with the preparation of the detailed annual budget and college development
Assisting with the preparation of monthly Forecasting Return to Department
Ensure that all month end and year end accounting tasks are completed accurately and on time, including posting of journals and other balance sheet reconciliations when
Manage, organise and supervise all staff employed in the designated
Act as the designated line manager for staff on issues including conduct and discipline, performance management, attendance management, staff appraisal, curriculum and staff
Ensure that effective arrangements are in place for staff development and that performance reviews are conducted in accordance with agreed
Ensure that all documentation and authorisation procedures are adhered
JOB TITLE: FINANCE OFFICER - MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS
Applicants must as a minimum, meet all of the essential eligibility criteria listed below.
1 (a) A Level 5 qualification (or higher) in accounting / finance or a closely related discipline AND have one years' experience in a management accounting role assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and supporting budget managers with the monitoring of their budget.
1 (b) A Level 5 qualification (or higher) in any discipline AND have successfully completed at least two years' of a recognised professional accountancy qualification AND have two years' experience in a management accounting role assisting with the production of monthly management accounts and supporting budget managers with the monitoring of their budget.
Experience of using integrated finance
Experience using a Microsoft product to analyse or present financial information for a non finance
Other Essential Criteria
A full current driving licence which enables you to drive in Northern Ireland, and access to a car for official business purposes. (Please refer to the General section in the application pack for further information).
