MCS Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join a well-established accountancy practice in Portadown, where you will essentially become your own boss and have autonomy over your own workload.
This leading accountancy practice is well known in the Northern Ireland market, covering a range of accounting services for clients across the country. This firm offers a work environment that is both professional and believes in treating people like adults; trusting in their staff to complete the file of work within a relaxed and flexible working environment.
You will be responsible for providing bookkeeping services to a diversity of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and SMEs. You will be visiting client sites and providing a range of duties including preparing accounts to trial balance, purchase ledger, sales ledger, bank reconciliations, invoices, and VAT returns. As you will be managing your own portfolio of clients, you will be in control of your own weekly timetable and having the flexibility to work both in the office and on client sites.
You must have strong accounts experience as a bookkeeper or accounting technician within a busy finance function. Experience within an accountancy firm is essential. You will also have strong IT skills (using Sage and/or Quickbooks) along with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills. You can either be open to part-time or full-time working.
In return, you will be joining a warm and friendly team where you will be recognised and rewarded for your work and will receive a competitive salary package to match your experience.
