“OK Google, find me a job”
At long last, Google has launched its ‘Google Job’ offering in the UK after a successful launch in the US last year. So, what does this mean for potential job seekers? But first…
Google jobs is a new search function baked in to the Google search experience. Launched in the US last year and now working in the UK, job seekers are presented with a list of jobs in their area relevant to their search terms. Example: Java Developer, Belfast
If you want to get more tailored results, Google lets you add more search terms such as:
Job seekers will be presented with relevant, up to date job vacancies that they want. It will introduce a new experience in a familiar way and will hopefully speed up the time it takes to get that dream career move.
For companies such as MCS Group, it means we have another great tool to help job seekers get their dream career move. Google has also reported that since their launch of job search, 60% more employers are showing jobs in search, connecting millions of people to new job opportunities.
As I’m sure you will notice or have noticed already, many companies are jumping of the ‘Google Job Search’ wagon and rightly so. MCS Group are no different. Our main goal is to get job seekers the career more they are dreaming of and with Google Jobs, we will be doing that a lot more often. Your job is our job.
