MCS Group has been retained to recruit a high-performing Sales Manager to join a successful technology services business during a phase of growth and development in local and national markets. You will be responsible for developing and implementing the overall sales strategy and maximising the sales team's potential through effective leadership.

Working closely with the CEO and senior team you will take a lead role in identifying, developing and closing large scale sales opportunities through the development of client and key partner relationships while directing the sales team in driving business through new and existing customer accounts. The business is well positioned with 20-25% year-on-year growth over the last couple of years and ambitious to sustain this moving forward.

You will be joining a business that prides itself in a customer focused approach that has led to retention of every customer account it has acquired. While the vast majority of the business is in Northern Ireland the company has developed into the UK and ROI markets, through acquisition and organic growth. The company has demonstrated strong capability to embrace emerging technologies and has been recognised, on a global level, by key partners such as Microsoft for its record in delivering innovative business solutions.

These key partnerships have now positioned the business to scale and there is now a requirement for a commercially focused Sales Manager to play key role in the next phase of growth.

Some of the key responsibilities and objectives will require you to...

  • Achieve growth and sales targets by successfully managing and developing the sales function;
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company's customer base, develop the brand and build on its strong reputation among existing customers;
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of core technologies and service offerings and utilise this knowledge to successfully sell to new and existing customers;
  • Take ownership of bids, tender proposals and sales presentations with the support of senior management;
  • Carry out sales training with sales team, coaching and mentoring members of the team to ensure continuous development of core skills and sales techniques.
  • Take ownership of recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales team;
  • Provide regular sales reports to the CEO highlighting key performance metrics and outlining appropriate action plans to meet the overall strategic objectives.

  • Proven track record in a solution sales environment with demonstrable success in effectively managing a sales team;
  • Articulate, confident and highly motivated with a drive to succeed and a passion for driving the sales process from plan to close;

  • Results-oriented, tenacious, self-starter who strategically plans for success;
