Temporary Finance Officer

This position is to assist the Corporate Accountant with the accounting needs of the orgnisation including payroll. Utilising accounting software including cash-flow management and grant funding claims.

The Role will consist of:

• Maintenance of Financial Systems/Ledgers
• Preparation of payroll and pension for Sage
• Assist with management of all financial processing functions
• Assist with Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts Preparation
• Contribute to in-year budget management and monitoring
• Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders
• Development and review of financial software systems

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

• A minimum 5 GCSEs grades A-C (including English Language and Maths) or equivalent

AND

• A minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial environment within the public, private, voluntary or community sectors.
• Experience in accounting software and Microsoft excel
• Experience processing payments and reconciling accounts
• Track record in cash flow management and budgeting experience
• Experience assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts
• Required competencies include: Leading and communication, collaboration, the ability to see the big picture and the ability to change and improve

Desirable:

• Experience with NI or Ireland payroll systems
• Experience using financial software
• P/Qual accountant or accounting technician
