Planning Officer

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with a recognised Public Sector Organisation in their search for a Planning Officer for their strive in Economic Development! The ideal candidate will provide support to the Senior Planning Officer in meeting all requirements, and ensure effective performance management in the area of work assigned.
The role:

1. Strategy Development: Plan for sustainable economic growth.
2. Policy Support: Assist in creating beneficial economic regulations.
3. Project Management: Oversee budgeted projects for economic advancement.
4. Business Assistance: Guide and fund local businesses.
5. Investment Promotion: Market area strengths to attract investors.
6. Data Analysis: Study economic trends for informed decision-making.
7. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with partners for community development.
8. Monitoring and Reporting: Track progress, suggest improvements, and communicate effectively.

The person:

• Degree in a recognised planning qualification.
• HNC/HND/BTEC Higher National Certificate in Planning, Surveying and Cartography.
• Ability to manage own workload, using strong organisation skills.
• Full Drivers License.
