Marketing Manager

MCS Group is delighted to be working alongside a leading eCommerce events company based in Belfast to recruit a Marketing Manager to join their ambitious team. The role includes some weekend / out of hours working and some UK & European travel.

This is a varied role where you will be responsible for leading the marketing efforts for world class events, and developing and executing a comprehensive marketing plan that drives attendance and engagement and sponsorship for events.

The successful candidate will be a good team player, working with a small team of Sales, Marketing & Events professionals to achieve business objectives. You will also have the confidence to communicate directly with the sales teams, sponsors and senior management across a range of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan for each event, including target audience identification, messaging, and communication channels and marketing budgets
• Manage event websites, email campaigns, social media and other digital marketing materials
• Plan and execute effective campaigns to drive traffic to event websites including SEO, SEM and paid social.
• Collaborate with event management team.
• Recruit and manage agency partners where they are engaged to support the business
• Analyse and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, making data-driven decisions to continually improve results
• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry figures, media outlets and key stakeholders to promote events and increase attendance
• Manage budgets and ensure all marketing activities are cost-effective and deliver strong ROI
• Manage software systems; ticketing platform, awards platform & events management apps
• Stay up-to-date with the latest marketing and event trends, technologies, and tools to continuously improve marketing efforts and efficiencies in the business.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent on the job experience; 3-5 years of experience in marketing in a fast moving environment;
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once; Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting;
• Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate
• Agency & budget management experience;
• Good working knowledge of Hubspot/Marketo/Pardot, Wordpress, SEM, Google Analytics
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
