Hardware/Electronic Engineer

MCS Group is seeking a motivated and experienced Hardware Engineer for our global recognised engineering customer. This role is on a contract basis and will be working with a world class engineering team.

Our client provides world class sensing devices and systems to the Electrical Utilities and Industrial customers globally.

As the Hardware/Electronics Engineer you will:

• Troubleshoot complex electro-mechanical products. Delivering workable solutions and or product improvements.
• Collaborate with wider engineering team (hardware, software, firmware engineers) to ensure delivery of updates works seamlessly in the final product.
• Run small projects to deliver customer requests (internal and external).
• Support manufacturing engineers to improve yield. Designing test procedures, test fixtures etc.
• Redesign of PCBAs due to Obsolescence/Shortages.
• Ensure adherence to HW design, including all required reviews.

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree or equivalent (HND with experience) in electrical/electronic or mechatronics engineering.
• Experience of hardware/electronics design with fault finding capabilities, good understanding of embedded software would be ideal.
