MCS Group is proud to be partnering our market leading manufacturing Client in Ballymena - who are bringing ground-breaking and innovative technological advances to the industry - with the hire of a Graduate Approvals Engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity, to grow your Engineering career within a highly talented Team who are very much at the forefront of their market. Full training will be provided on world leading products to ensure progression towards a position as a Vehicle & Systems Approval Engineer, where you will be responsible for your own product.

- Hours of work: Monday to Thursday, 8.15am to 5.00pm, Friday 8.00am to 1.00pm

Your day to day:
Your core responsibility will be the approval of buses for both national and international markets, and for working with internal departments and external partners to obtain the necessary system and vehicles approvals.
- Producing reports/documentation, including 2D engineering drawings, for approval authority.
- Review of design/specification against legislation/regulation.
- Creating test plans/test strategies and arranging testing with external agencies.
- Carrying out First in Batch inspections
- Work with third party approval authorities for approvals, audits, testing etc.
- Point of contact for engineering queries with regard to regulations/legislation.
- Review and accurately interpret regulation and legislation.
- Maintaining and managing various records within the department.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including engineering, supply, external suppliers, test sites, approval agencies, customers etc.
Your credentials:
- Degree level in an Engineering Discipline
- Practical use of 2D CAD systems
- Highly competent in MS Office applications including MS Word and Excel.
- Theoretical knowledge of good engineering discipline
- Must be able to travel (infrequent)

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are essential.
- Ambitious, proactive approach, self-driven
- Detail orientated, high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage and prioritise workloads.
- Analytical and logical approach to assist problem solving within engineering.
