Finance Manager

The Finance Manager's role will support effective running of the Finance Department, in order to provide financial and management information in relation to Purchase Ledger , Budgeting, Management Accounts and Statutory Financial Statements, in accordance with the requirements of the organisation.

The Role will consist of:

• Prepare accounts, support budgets, manage ledger, review VAT
• Develop relationships, promote ethos, liaise with auditors
• Assist in budgeting, liaise on financial matters
• Lead recruitment, oversee development
• Identify improvements, liaise with IT providers
• Deputise, stay updated, participate in projects, conduct risk assessments, maintain confidentiality, promote diversity, adhere to Health and Safety

The Person

As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:

Essential:

1. Either a professional accountancy (CCAB orCIMA) qualification plus 2 years post qualification experience in:
   • Technical experience around budgeting and forecasting.
   • Management Accounts / variance analysis.
   • Preparation of statutory financial statements for audit purposes.
   • Operating / overseeing payroll.

OR

1. 5 years' experience of finance working across a breadth of areas, such as payments, payroll, income, management accounts, statutory accounts and business partnering.

2. Demonstrable experience in:

• Working with computerized accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications including advanced competency in Excel.
• Communicating effectively with a proven ability to influence and negotiate with a wide range of stakeholders.

Desirable:

• Have a full valid driving license or access to a means of transport to undertake duties associated with the role.

• Experience of finance systems upgrade, including preparation of procedures and timely
