Software Engineering Manager

MCS is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our clients team in Belfast. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in driving excellence and innovation across engineering efforts. Managing a high performing team of software engineers, you'll lead by example, ensuring adherence to best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
• Ensure compliance with software development processes and internal standards
• Implement tools and techniques to enhance quality and efficiency
• Drive technical excellence and architectural best practices
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement
• Implement and uphold engineering best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role
• Proficiency in C# .NET or Java technologies.
• Experience in Agile/Lean environments
• Strong understanding of modern technologies and architectural design
• Familiarity with continuous integration/continuous deployment and DevOps practices
• Experience with web application development and distributed environments
