Embedded Engineer (Hybrid - Dublin)

MCS Group is excited to be working alongside a medical technology organisation in their search for an embedded software engineer. The embedded engineer will be working on a new to market product, collaborating with a cross-functional hybrid team as the product launches into new markets. This role comes as a result of an exciting expansion phase for the business and will see a number of technical industry specialists join an already diverse team.

Rewards:

• Compensation in the range of €50,000 and €70,000

Requirements:

• Degree level education in software development, computer science or similar
• More than five years of experience in embedded/firmware engineering
• Expertise in embedded, firmware and low level C coding
• Experience across the full software development lifecycle
• The ability in one or more scripting language in a professional capacity

Prior experiences in start-up and medical technology / device industry would be preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities:

• Kickstart your role by working on a new-generation product
• Designing embedded systems for medical devices, considering real-time processing and reliability
• Developing embedded software in languages like C/C++ for specific hardware platforms
• Integrating software with hardware components for seamless functionality
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
• Identifying and mitigating risks associated with embedded systems
• Testing software thoroughly to verify functionality and safety
• Staying updated on emerging technologies and best practices
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the development process
