Backend Engineer (C#)

Vacancy Title: Backend C# Engineer, Portfolio Management - Leading, London Based Hedge Fund

Overview:

I am thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for a client of mine, one of London's leading Hedge Funds. They are seeking a talented Backend C# Developer for a brand new project - my clients new platform integrates various portfolio management systems. This platform combines TypeScript/React front-end with C#/gRPC back-end. Essential for daily use by Traders and Analysts. Now focused on rapid feature expansion.

Role Responsibilities:

• Boosting system performance and expand-ability
• Identifying and mitigating potential problems in advance
• Writing and fine-tuning SQL for Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake
• Adopting and integrating state-of-the-art technologies with existing system
• Investigating and rectifying operational issues
• Crafting and managing superior .NET services

Requirements:

• at least 5 years experience, hands on C# development
• Distributed Systems experience
• SQL experience vital
• Microservices and knowledge about upstream/downstream data
• Container tech (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Kafka/Rabbit or another open source messaging system
• Pick up new systems quickly
• Ideally coming from another Fund. With knowlegde of some or all of the following: Equities, Fixed Income, FX
